Audit Manager

You will run statutory audits end to end at Benford, from scoping to the signed opinion. You will also shape how those audits are delivered, working next to the engineers who build the platform that runs them.

Audit at the small and mid-market end has been abandoned while fees keep rising. The largest firms are stepping back from exactly the companies that still need an opinion every year.

Every previous attempt to modernise audit aimed at the auditor's desk and left the firm untouched. We are vertically integrated instead: we hold the licence, we build the platform and we employ the auditor who signs. AuditOS connects to the systems a company runs on, and carries the work from one year to the next so the second audit starts where the first finished. Routine work is done by systems, judgement stays with people.

What you'll own

• Engagements end to end: scoping, risk assessment, rulings on exceptions, and the file that stands behind the opinion.
• The quality bar on the engagements you lead, including how evidence is gathered, logged and traced to its source.
• The working methodology itself, feeding directly into what product and engineering build next.
• The relationship with your clients, and how they experience an audit that runs on their live systems.

Who we're looking for

• A qualified auditor with experience from a reputable audit firm, comfortable owning judgement calls.
• Someone who wants to shape how audit is delivered rather than inherit how it is done.
• Willingness to work closely with engineers, and to explain audit reasoning clearly enough that it can be built.
• You are interested in why the process works the way it does, not only in following it.
