Audit Senior

You run statutory audits end to end at Benford, from scoping to the evidence behind the opinion. You do it alongside the engineers building the platform you work in, so the way you audit becomes the way the product works.

Why Benford

Audit at the small and mid-market end has been quietly abandoned. The largest firms are stepping back from it while fees keep rising, and the companies left behind get less attention for more money. Every previous attempt to fix this aimed at the auditor's desk and left the firm itself untouched.

Benford is vertically integrated instead. We hold the licence, we build the platform and we employ the auditor who signs. Our engine, AuditOS, connects to the systems a client runs on, ERP, subledgers, invoices and banks, and carries the work from one year to the next so the second audit starts where the first finished. Routine work is done by systems. Judgement stays with people. Every input is logged, traced to its source and assigned to a named auditor.

What you'll own

• Delivery of your engagements, from scoping and risk assessment through to the file that supports the opinion.
• The quality bar on your work and on the evidence the platform produces around it.
• Direct input into product and tech: what the platform should do next comes from auditors, not from a roadmap written elsewhere.
• Client relationships, including a close look at how we win and serve work.

Who we're looking for

• Audit experience gained at a reputable firm, with real exposure to complex engagements.
• Qualified or close to qualifying, comfortable forming and defending a judgement.
• Happy working next to engineers and shaping the tool rather than inheriting it.
• You are interested in why the process works the way it does, not only in following it.

Practical
