Intern (London)

You will work across product and go to market, turning what we learn from real audit engagements into things clients see and use. It is a broad seat: part product, part commercial, part whatever the week needs.

Why Benford

Benford is a tech-native audit firm that runs the statutory audit end to end, from the client's systems to the signed opinion. We hold the licence, we build the platform and we employ the auditor who signs. Our engine, AuditOS, connects to the systems a company runs on, and carries the work from one year to the next so the second audit starts where the first finished.

The largest firms are stepping back from the small and mid-market while fees keep rising. Every previous attempt to modernise audit aimed at the auditor's desk and left the firm untouched. We are vertically integrated instead. The problem is hard because audit sits where judgement, context, data and methodology meet, and it takes the best auditors and engineers working together, over years, to get it right.

What you'll own

• A slice of the go to market motion: how we describe what we do, who we reach, and what happens after the first conversation.
• Product work alongside engineers and auditors, from writing up how a workflow should behave to checking it does.
• Research into prospective clients, their systems and their pain, fed straight back into the roadmap.
• Whatever is unowned and matters this month. Early enough that what you build becomes the standard.

Who we're looking for

• You pick things up quickly and are comfortable being the least experienced person in the room.
• Evidence over credentials. Show us something you have shipped, written or sold. Side projects count.
• You build with AI natively, not bolted on afterwards.
• You think about what does not exist yet, not about what is currently done.

Practical

• Internship, on-site, based in London. We have teams in London and Oslo, and you will work with both.
